Dumpster Rental in Beverly Hills, CA

In Beverly Hills, the city’s own Rolloff Division provides temporary bins. Learn the Public Right-of-Way Use Permit rules.

Beverly Hills has the Flats, the Trousdale Estates hillside area, the “Beverly Hills Post Office” hills and the business triangle around Rodeo Drive. Major remodels, teardowns, landscaping overhauls and estate cleanouts are common, and many have tight logistics rules.

In Beverly Hills, temporary roll-off bins are not an open market. The city’s Roll Off Bin Information page says roll-off bin service is provided for construction and remodeling jobs, large landscaping projects and other large projects, and that you must request a temporary roll-off bin from the city’s Rolloff Division. Fees depend on bin size. Because of that, the list below is short on purpose: we only show providers the city itself points to, not every company that advertises Beverly Hills online.

Beverly Hills dumpster permit rules

A Public Right-of-Way Use Permit from Community Development is required for any activity, including dumpsters, that uses sidewalks, parkways, streets or public property. Loading and unloading on private property doesn’t need this permit. Permittees usually post city-provided “No Parking” signs at least 24 hours ahead, and the city says authorized dumpsters can’t stay overnight unless permitted. Applicants need at least $1 million in general liability insurance ($2 million for new construction). See the official Public Right-of-Way & Hauling page.

Private driveway? A bin placed completely on private property (your driveway or yard) usually does not need a street permit. You need one when any part of the container sits on the street, sidewalk or parkway. HOA or property-manager rules can still apply. See our driveway placement guide.

Local tips for Beverly Hills projects

  • Trousdale Estates: Special heavy-hauling rules apply in Trousdale. Check the city page.
  • Overnight rule: Street bins generally can’t stay overnight without a permit that allows it. Driveway placement is simpler.
  • Hauling fees: The city also regulates construction hauling trips.

Common dumpster sizes

10 yardSmall cleanouts, a bathroom tear-out, or heavy debris like concrete, dirt or tile, which haulers often limit to small bins.
20 yardA common pick for a kitchen remodel, flooring removal or a one-layer roof on a typical house.
30 yardBigger renovations, whole-home cleanouts and additions with bulky, lighter debris.
40 yardLarge construction, demolition or commercial cleanouts. Needs a long, clear spot and is rarely practical on narrow streets.

Not sure which fits? Read the dumpster sizes guide. Prices depend on size, debris type, tonnage and rental days, so we don’t list prices here. See the LA dumpster rental cost guide and compare real quotes.
