Dumpster Rental in Inglewood, CA

Inglewood says WM is its only authorized solid waste hauler. Learn about the street permit, the official fee and placement tips.

Inglewood has changed fast around SoFi Stadium, the Intuit Dome and Hollywood Park, but most of the city is still residential: Morningside Park, Fairview Heights, Century Heights, Briarwood and North Inglewood. Projects range from remodels of 1920s to 1950s homes and ADUs to roof replacements and cleanouts.

In Inglewood, temporary roll-off bins are not an open market. The city’s Public Works FAQ says large trash containers must be obtained from Waste Management, which it calls the only authorized solid waste hauler in the City of Inglewood. Because of that, the list below is short on purpose: we only show providers the city itself points to, not every company that advertises Inglewood online.

Inglewood dumpster permit rules

Large containers and construction bins placed in the street need an Encroachment Permit from the Public Works Department, City Hall, 1 Manchester Boulevard, 3rd floor. The city FAQ lists the fee as $212 per week, plus $7 per meter per day when the bin takes up metered spaces. Permits are issued by Engineering staff. See the official Engineering Permits page. Projects that need a C&D permit also file a C&D Permit Application with Public Works.

Private driveway? A bin placed completely on private property (your driveway or yard) usually does not need a street permit. You need one when any part of the container sits on the street, sidewalk or parkway. HOA or property-manager rules can still apply. See our driveway placement guide.

Local tips for Inglewood projects

  • Event days: Stadium and arena events tighten parking and traffic. Schedule delivery and pickup on non-event days.
  • Metered streets: Commercial streets have meters, which add a daily fee. Driveway placement saves money.
  • Older homes: Plaster and roofing debris are heavy. Check weight limits.

Common dumpster sizes

10 yardSmall cleanouts, a bathroom tear-out, or heavy debris like concrete, dirt or tile, which haulers often limit to small bins.
20 yardA common pick for a kitchen remodel, flooring removal or a one-layer roof on a typical house.
30 yardBigger renovations, whole-home cleanouts and additions with bulky, lighter debris.
40 yardLarge construction, demolition or commercial cleanouts. Needs a long, clear spot and is rarely practical on narrow streets.

Not sure which fits? Read the dumpster sizes guide. Prices depend on size, debris type, tonnage and rental days, so we don’t list prices here. See the LA dumpster rental cost guide and compare real quotes.
